There are a number of free attractions that draw families to Las Vegas every year.

Finding Free Family Fun

(NAPSA)-There may be some surprising news for families looking to hit the road without breaking the bank: Las Vegas can be one of the cheaper vacation destinations out there.

That's because Las Vegas hotels and airlines offer great deals to attract visitors-and some of the best sights to see in the desert city are free. Here's the Travelers Advantage list of 10 memorable-and free-things to do in Vegas:

1. Start with The Battle of Buccaneer Bay at Treasure Island. See live "pirates" fighting the "British" to the brink in a one-of-a-kind pyrotechnic sea battle.

2. At Bellagio, more than a thousand fountains dance in front of the hotel. This spectacular display spans more than 1,000 feet with water soaring as high as 240 feet-all choreographed to music.

3. Head downtown and visit the Fremont Street Experience. Opened to pedestrian-only traffic in 1995, Fremont Street offers nightly light shows featuring a canopy of 2.1 million lights and 540,000 watts of sound and music.

4. Run away with the circus. The world's largest permanent circus is at Circus Circus. It gives visitors the chance to see all the excitement and action of the circus as never before.

5. Caesar's Palace has the ever-popular Fall of Atlantis, one of the best-attended shows in Las Vegas. As the "children of Atlantis" fight for control of Atlantis, the animatronic figures come to life in this dazzling, high-tech production. Also at Caesar's, the Festival Fountain Show features an animatronic discussion between Bacchus, Venus, Apollo and Pluto.

6. The Mirage and the Volcano. Beginning at dusk, the volcano erupts every 15 minutes until midnight. Be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes early-this show is very popular with the crowd.

7. Cruise the Strip and see a free light show created by more than 15,000 miles of neon tubing and attention-getting architecture.

8. Visit the open-air home of Siegfried & Roy's rare and exotic Royal White Tigers. When not appearing in the show or in the Habitat, the Royal White Tigers enjoy their own spacious living environment and periodic excursions into the countryside.

9. Visit M&M's World, a four-story interactive shopping and retail complex that features your favorite candies, characters and merchandise available in one superstore.

10. People watch. There's an amazing array of people-from folks in tuxedos out on the town to families enjoying the sights-who visit the many casinos and attractions in this fabulous desert city.
